Matt Sforza

Controller

Matt has over 14 years in finance, accounting, administration, operations and asset management experience, including financial analysis, modeling, accounting, risk management, compliance, and operations.  Matt specializes in reporting and forecasting, helping clients project short and long-term goals while assessing their current needs. 

Matt has supported companies in a variety of industries in his professional career, including real estate, software, early childhood development.  Since 2016, Matt worked for smaller real estate companies in Columbus focusing on accounting and controllership of multi-family properties. Prior to this, Matt joined a small software company, Team Dynamix, as Finance and Operations Manager.  In this role, Matt specialized in report development, researching and implementing cost reducing initiatives, budgeting’s and forecasting.  In addition, Matt managed all the controls related to the company’s day to day finance and accounting as well as operations, human resources onboarding, and payroll.

Matt began his career in institutional asset management as an investment associate at Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) performing equity analysis and performance attribution and risk decomposition reporting.  He then moved into client guideline management position at JP Morgan Asset Management focusing on risk/compliance and operations initiatives for multi-million-dollar institutional clients.  Over the course of his career, Matt developed a deep understanding and appreciation for operational processes, risk management, compliance, and accounting.

Matt holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Capital University and a Bachelor’s in Science in Human Ecology from The Ohio State University.
